3. Repair Requests and Authorization
Submitting a form, email, or chat does not by itself create a repair agreement. A repair begins only after VT Services accepts the device or project and receives any required authorization. Estimates may change if inspection reveals additional damage, missing parts, prior repair attempts, liquid exposure, data-security restrictions, or other conditions not reasonably visible at intake. We will seek approval when required before performing work outside the authorized scope.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the device or are authorized to request service for it.
- You are responsible for providing accurate contact, device, issue, and authorization information.
- You should back up important data and remove confidential or unnecessary information before service whenever reasonably possible.
- You should remove passwords or provide approved access instructions when access is necessary for diagnosis or testing.
- You should disclose known liquid damage, safety concerns, prior repairs, account locks, or device-management restrictions.
5. Data and Device Access
Diagnosis and testing may require powering on, opening, resetting, updating, or accessing functions of a device. Although VT Services takes reasonable care, repair work can involve risks to stored data, settings, software, or device functionality, particularly when a device is already damaged. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, VT Services is not a data-backup or data-recovery provider. Do not provide credentials unrelated to the requested service.
6. Pricing, Payment, and Programs
Prices shown or discussed before inspection are estimates unless expressly identified as fixed. Taxes, shipping, special-order parts, diagnostic work, rush service, or additional approved repairs may affect the final amount. Payment terms are stated on the applicable estimate, invoice, purchase order, or program agreement. Prepaid Repair Advantage balances and volume arrangements are governed by their written program terms and do not create a cash account unless those terms expressly say so.
7. Shipping, Pickup, and Drop-Off
Availability and terms for shipping, pickup, or drop-off must be confirmed with VT Services. Customers are responsible for packaging devices appropriately and following provided shipping instructions. Carrier delays, loss, or damage may be subject to the carrier's rules and any applicable shipping agreement. Do not ship a swollen, leaking, recalled, or otherwise hazardous battery without first receiving instructions.
8. Repair Results and Warranties
Not every device can be repaired, and a successful repair may not correct unrelated issues or prevent future failure. Any limited repair warranty offered by VT Services will be described in the applicable receipt, work order, program document, or other written service terms, including its duration, coverage, and exclusions. Website references to possible warranty coverage do not guarantee that every repair qualifies.
9. Acceptable Website Use
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape content in a way that burdens the site, impersonate another person, submit unlawful material, or use forms or chat to harass others. We may restrict access or decline requests involving suspected fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or safety concerns.
